College Theme is the latest classic free WordPress theme by Performancing. The theme is a simple, straightforward two-column theme, with the sidebar situated to the left and the main content column at the right.
College Theme is easy on the eyes, featuring soft shades and hues of blue. The rounded corners add to the visual appeal–each box on the sidebar, footer and main content have rounded corners for a softer feel. The sidebar boxes come in three gradients: dark, medium and light, to help differentiate the list content.
College Theme also has a dynamic Hemingway-style footer with footer columns that can accommodate lists. These columns are housed in stowaway tabs, so visual clutter is eliminated or at least hidden. A customizable link header is also present, to help readers navigate through the site.
The theme requires the Most Commented, Recent Comments and Recent Posts plugins by mtdewvirus.com, which are included in the ZIP file for download.
Update: College Theme has been updated for compatibility with WordPress 2.7 and up. Download the latest version here.

I usually like the themes released from this site. Even though this particular theme [College Theme] has a neat design, I feel it is released prematurely.
Like,
a)it does not even have a screenshot image file.
b)It only has placeholders for the ‘tab-menu’ and does not show anything by default.
c)Also, the same ‘tab-menu’ code is placed on index.php and page.php etc, and so if you want to make a change to it, you have to do it in more than one place.
d) there is no sidebar widget compatibility.
Please see if you might have inadvertently released a previous version of the theme.
Thanks

Hi Sadish,
We’ve recently fixed concern (b) - the required plugins are now included in the archive, and we’ve activated those also here in the demo site.
Re the other issues, then perhaps we can release an updated version. Thank you for these inputs.

I have to agree with Sadish. Its a lovely theme, but lacks things you would expect as standard such as widgets.
Any chance of these being fixed?
